Terms and Conditions
Slightly different conditions apply depending on whether you are attending as a student or faculty member of one of our Erasmus+ partner universities, or whether you have applied independently or as a member of Suttneruni.

No Course Fees but Cost Contribution
If you are attending the course as a student or as a faculty member of an ERASMUS+ "sending institution", you will not have to pay the course fee, nor the fee for the international conference "Social Mentoring in Europe", which is part of this BIP, but a cost contribution of €100 to cover additional costs, such as copies and catering during the two days of the international conference on November 13 and 14, 2026.
Participants are responsible for their own travel and transport expenses (tickets, visa fees etc.) as well as for their accommodation and insurance.
Payment
We expect payment to our bank account within 30 days of sending the invoice. If the invoice address differs from your home address you have to indicate this in advance at the online registration system!
The university does not work with instant transfer services (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, Visa/Mastercard debit cards). Any bank service charges must be covered by the participant.
No coverage for Travel and Health Insurance
Travel and medical insurance is not included. Please make the necessary arrangements yourself.
Cancellation Policy
The contract between Bertha von Suttner Privatuniversität and the applicant is valid as soon as the applicant has sent his application via the online application portal and Bertha von Suttner Private University has sent its letter for acceptance. The relevant invoice is also issued at this stage. You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days, beginning on the day your acceptance letter has been sent to you, by sending us a clear written notice stating that you want to cancel your participation in the BIP.
Please be aware that if you cancel your place at any time after the expiry of the 14-day period, you will not be entitled to a full refund.
- If you withdraw your participation up to 30 days before the start of the in-person week (start date: November 9, 2026), we will retain 50% of your payment to cover our expenses.
- If you cancel your participation 30 days or less before the meeting in St. Pölten, no refund will be issued.
In case of cancellation, bank service charges connected to the refund will be charged to you. If you wish to cancel your place on the course, you must inform the Course Administrator by email at jdicketmueller@suttneruni.at.
Cancellation by Us
In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the university may cancel the course. In this case, the university will make every reasonable effort to notify you as soon as possible. The university will refund all fees paid by you. In the event of cancellation, the university's liability is limited to the amount paid by the student. Partial cancellations will be refunded on a pro-rated basis.
Complaints Procedure and Ombuds Office
If you have a complaint related to issues of diversity and equal treatment, you should contact the Universitiy compliance officer: Simon Reisenbauer, simon.reisenbauer@suttneruni.at. Participants may also get in touch with our ombuds office for students if they want to talk about personal issues in a trusting, confidential atmosphere, or any matter related to the course: Mrs Manuela Wieländer, ombudsstelle@suttneruni.at.

The full course is generally offered for only €400, with a reduced fee of €200 for Suttneruni students and faculty. The fee includes the international conference "Social Mentoring in Europe" on November 13 and 14, 2026.
